This is definitely one of my favorite choice of games products! Its good pacing and interesting plot line kept me entertained the whole way through. This game has a lot of replay potential, and is definitely worth buying.

I was so excited to play this, I guess i was just expecting too much. It was just as lacking as the Lost Heir.
Ive been a big fan of Choice of Games for a while, but this game has got to be my favorite so far. it might just be because Ive always had a soft spot for medievalfantasy-esque stories and movies, but this game is packed with solid writing and will not disappoint.
I really enjoyed how the game gave you a sense of you having a unique career and life as an adventurer. Seeing the city decay while you witness it makes you feel very involved.
Cant wait for the sequal!
Ok not really like Skyrim obviously but the world, the story is set in, has that feel to it. Unlike every other choice game this one actually HAS a more well thought out, detailed endings. Readers of my reviews know that I read all choice games and that short crappy endings are a peeve of mine. Play as a Mage, thief, knight, bard or some combination of that. Join up with others in the story or be a line wolf player. Some choice add layers on to the story but dont make any difference to the main story line. Sadly the storys main out line is the same no matter what role you choose. It would have been better to have even more separate stories for greater replay value. But that would have meant more work. That being said its a challenging game. Almost too challenging. I played 6 times trying to achieve a certain goal as a Mage. Only to find out that unless I was willing to fight like a knight I was always going to fail. So that kind of game mechanic doesnt make me happy. Still absolutely 5 stars. If you make it to the end their seems to be an intent to continue the adventure in a new story app. Im looking forward to it as this now makes my top 5 choice games of all time!
Well written, engaging, and highly customizable/replay able. 1 star removed for awkward transition to importance at the end. Easily recommendable, however.
Im into medieval stuff, seriously. I had high hopes for this game but it came up well short. Your choices dont matter except to build abilities. So the story will be the same every time with the same conversations and the same people asking the same things of you. Its also fairly short overall... Think choice of broadsides length with more filler. Id recommend selecting a different game as this ones world just isnt very flushed out aside from generic tropes.
Its really fun! I wish they would expand on romance, that always makes it way more fun. But I hope they write a sequel!
Play the game wont let me pick choice then when I exit it shows no choices
So, for me, the length and the level of some intricate details was impressive. However, I found the writing to be pretty adolescent in nature (the vernacular and such didnt really fit the setting and it felt like the dialogue was created by a teenager sometimes). I didnt really enjoy any of the side characters and, frankly, grew bored when they appeared. I didnt like how there arent relationships to develop (friendship and otherwise) which kind of took away from the interactive fiction feel Im used to experiencing. While The Lost Heir isnt perfect, I much preferred the detailing, character development, and setting of that to this game here. The Hero of Kendrickstone just didnt do it for me :/
Game was pretty good but the end came way to fast. You do three "quests" and then you reach the final quest. When I got to the final quest I honestly thought it was only gonna be the first BIG quest of several not the only one. There isnt even much replayability because no matter what my choices the story goes practically the same way with the only defining difference is youll lose if you pick the wrong choice(s). Overall this just isnt worth the price given the content (or lack thereof) this provides.
The game was one of my favorite ones, but this one lacked an important part unlike any of the other ones "romance". I mean to me that is the most entertaining part that makes play it over and over again.
This game is the Skyrim of text Adventures! I can not wait for the sequel
Played through a few times and really enjoyed this story. Well written and well played out.
A very well-written saga, with a multitude of colorful characters and various destinies.
This game was really great but the thing that Im wondering is that is this story going to continue because it ended so suddenly after you. Either get money or get a house or nothing or a position at the city. I hope this gets a sequal
This is a great game
This game is alright, I couldnt find many problems if any Edith this game except just the way it was written. Also this games quality is no better than many other games that Ive played for $2.99. I just didnt get into this game as much as I have others and for $5 I would expect a greater experience with a longer story and more repeatability. The only thing different from choosing who you side with the the pay and the leisurely past-times. The quests are all exactly the same and in the same order, using the exact same wording no matter if you are a thief wizard or servant-at-arms. Now I should have expected this but for $5 I was hoping for more.
An okay game, although a bit hard to grow attached to the characters. Too short for the price tag.
